“I recently attended the Mandalong Sanctuary Health Retreat for a Silent Sunday Yoga and Meditation day with Gina. It was a long blissful day of yoga, meditation, nourishing food and green smoothies, all in a breath-taking location.
Like many, I have such a busy life and more recently I had faced some stressful events so I was craving some calm, quiet time to myself. When Gina mentioned in her weekly yoga class that she held day-long yoga and meditation days, not just an hour, I jumped at the opportunity.
I would encourage anyone and everyone to take part in one of these yoga and meditation days. During the yoga Gina clearly explains the purpose/benefits of each movement and always offers alternatives for people who are less or more advanced. She is calm and patience and cares for each individual’s needs. Jaan was also brilliant and lead such relaxing mediations.
This day opened my eyes further into the benefits of yoga and meditation to reduce the stresses of everyday life. I have made a commitment to be kind to myself by practicing yoga and meditation regularly. I left feeling quiet, calm and relaxed. It was the boost I needed to get into the habit of finding that level of calm for a few minutes each day.
